SUMMER SET

Hey! Summer Set is a four-piece band from Wilmington, NC. We are Seth Moody (guitar, keyboards), Jeff Reardon (drums), Robert Rogan (bass, vocals), and Brian Weeks (vocals, guitar).

Summer Set started when I (Brian Weeks) moved to San Francisco from NC a few years ago. I went there to start some shit, but ended up 4-tracking by myself and sending my friends back east tapes of my songs. I bought a mini-screenprint machine (Gocco), made my own CD covers and created a mini-label, aptly named Send a Friend Records. I called one tape that I sent to my east coast buds “summer set” because, well those were the songs I wrote and recorded that summer. I thought the name sounded cool and I’ve stuck with it. I moved back to NC and fortunately I found that some of my friends want to play music with me. We like Moogs (who doesn’t), two of band members are English teachers, two members used to be in a band with Ivan Howard from Rosebuds before he got famous and if you email us, we’ll send you our first 7-song EP.

How we met Summer Set:
Summer Set came in the cutest little hand-screen-printed case. It has a picture of this little guy who looks like he might be at the beach, looking up at what looks like a clear blue sky, throwing his arms up like he might be really happy to be in the sunshine. We wish we were there.
