We at ‘SUP HQ have nothing but the most unabashed love for Lavender Diamond. Fromtwoman Becky Stark’s operatic coos always send us into a total state of bliss, and we’re eagerly anticipating a follow-up to 2007′s acclaimed chill-out opus Imagine Our Love. So good you guys.

In the meantime, Lavender Diamond have released the long- ( and we do mean long-) awaited video for their cover of Madonna’s controversial, Black-Jesus-featuring 1989 hit single “Like a Prayer”. They originally recorded their version for the Manimal Vinyl Madonna tribute LP, Through the Wilderness, back in 2007. It was then featured on a shit ton of pretty amazing iTunes playlists around the office, then kind of forgotten about, but since we got ahold of this video we’ve been playing it all afternoon and it’s still just as good as it was when we first got into it. Prepare to be amazed by Becky’s angelic cherub-voice getting all up in one of Madge’s best tracks ever.
