Our buddies Radioclit and Esau Mwamwaya (otherwise known and sample-happy three man ethnic dance machine The Very Best) have released the “Official Malawi Pride” video for the first track off of their debut mixtape, Esau Mwamwaya and Radioclit are The Very Best (how functional). It’s for the song “Kamphopo” which samples “Heart It Races” by Australian indie pop conglomerate Architecture in Helsinki. It is a testament to the song’s catchiness that we try and sing this song in the shower in the morning in Chichewa (which Wikipedia tells us is the native language of Malawi). The video really makes us want to take a holiday on the mother continent, as it looks pretty sparse, yet somehow jovial. No one in the savannah got swagger like us!
