Now, when we think of waking up in Vegas, we’ve forever more got a picture of rousing to find a tiger, a crying baby and Mike Tyson bumping out to Phil Collins. Ah, what a Hangover, LOLZ.
But Matador records could change that all with news of a 21st birthday bash in Sin City that could end up being equally as epic. They’ve gathered together some of their greatest acts from over the years that frankly shit all over the Celine Dion lounge singers that usually reside in the city. Instead, it’s mid-90′s heroes Pavement, Sonic Youth and Belle and Sebastian who’re going to be headlining the three-day fest at Palms Casino and Resort, Vegas.
And there’s more in the way of hot non-gambling fun with Superchunk, Girls, Yo La Tengo, Cold Cave and Fucked Up on the bill, taking place from October 1st-3rd.
There’s more names to be announced for the super-party over the coming months, but for now you can salivate over the current names and wait for details on how to buy tickets on July 5th over here.
Messed-up roofies or not, this is one fiesta that won’t be forgotten…
