Vinyl Contest and Mp3 Download: Love & Disaster

By some (no doubt PR-paid) scientist’s reckoning, today is officially the most depressing day in the year. Blue Monday, as it were.

So, taking our lead from the New Order-themed worst day, we’re gonna cheer it right up for you with some goodies from some of Manchester’s hottest tipped bands for 2010.

First up there’s a free download below for ‘SUPsters by our synth-pop favourite, Delphic, and their remix of Everything Everything‘s “My Keys, Your Boyfriend”.

And the double whammy is a vinyl contest. Manchester music scenesters Love & Disaster have pulled together some of their top acts from the city in a neat little EP, which includes tracks from Delphic, Dutch Uncles, Airship and Jo Rose. We’ve got five copies of this 10″ gatefold vinyl to flog (complete with MP3 download codes), so if you fancy your chances, email laura@supmag.com with the name of the Manchester legend who was the founder of the Hacienda nightclub and co-founder of Factory Records.

UK entries only, so sorry US-based Manc-ophiles. Guess it really is a Blue Monday for you.
