These Are Powers are teaming up with Rvng Intl to drop three new tracks of ass up face down electronic on their World Class Peoples/CANDYMAN 12″ release. The EP features remixes by brethren loft party duo Teengirl Fantasy along with one by Costa Rica’s Cosmetics that is as much Burial as it is Scott Walker. The artwork, by Kevin O’Neill at Will Work For Good, is inspired by the slimy fetish known as sploshing. The sploshee featured on the cover will remain anonymous. First pressing limited to 1000 copies can be found here, and each vinyl edition contains a download card for MP3s of course. Here comes the fun part – we’re giving away one of these limited edition vinyl copies to the first person to email abbey@supmag.com and name their favorite candy. If that’s not world classy, then we don’t know what is!
If you happen to be in Brooklyn tomorrow February 20th, you can see the band in the flesh at CoCo 66 for their record release party thanks to the gentlemen of FIXED. JDH and Dave P will be throwing down alongside a live set by These Are Powers with MDNR and Blondes as openers.
