What’s the purpose of Sweater Weather?
The purpose of Sweater Weather is to bring people together into a community through a common bond that just happens to be music.

Who’s in Sweater Weather and who should be in Sweater Weather?
Currently, Sweater Weather consists of Casey Trela (guitar, vocals, and Wii bowling), Curt White (guitar, vocals, smooth talking), Bobby Sweatt (drums, awesome facial expressions and impersonations), Jon Mackey (bass and height), Tim Phillips (glockenspiel, trumpet, and beard), Katie Spencer (accordion, pretty vocals, and rationality), Lindsay Ellerbe (cello, sleigh bells, and nose rings), and Adam Schaffernoth (auxiliary percussion, and sometimes inappropriate humor). But what makes us special? Sweater Weather should be everyone. If you find yourself at a show, please sing and dance and shake and clap and stomp with us, talk to us, and share with us.

What kind of weather do you wear sweaters in?
Sweaters shall be worn in all weathers, be it hot, cold, rain, or shine. Snow happens to mix well with a sweater. Leather patches are optional, yet recommended.

Is meat murder?
Beef is one of the principal meats used in European cuisine and cuisine of the Americas, and is important in Africa, East Asia, and Southeast Asia as well. In the Middle East, lamb is the usual meat preferred over beef. Beef is taboo to Hindus and its consumption is discouraged among some Buddhists.

When you wake up every morning, what inspires you?
Our inspiration comes from the beauty in life, whether that is creation, its creator, life itself, other people, music, experience, joy, sorrow, suffering, redemption, beauty, or life.

Are you more excited about the new Radiohead or the new Wilco?
The new Akron/Family is amazing.

Hands down, without a doubt, the best reason to come to a Sweater Weather show is watching Bobby Sweatt’s face. We promise it won’t disappoint.
