Looks like Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale is looking for new versions of Myles and Chris, who have split to focus on their own project. Just please no reality show about the search for new members. We're hurting as it is, and you're never gonna find anyone that can rock a Korg like Chris Ross.
Check this video of 'Love Train' we snuck at their last NYC Show as they opened the new Gramercy Blender venue in April of 2007. The debuted a new track which was really tight but the fog machine was out of control. Who knows what's going to happen to the new album.

Be Your Own Pet: So good. So young. If Thurston Moore and Ecstatic Peace championing your band can't keep you together, then what can? Let's face it. Lead singer Jemina Pearl was self admitedly banned from every single bar in Nashville before her 18th birthday. This four piece was destined to live fast, die young, and leave a beautiful and frenetic back catalogue.
Check out this video for 'Becky' which we snuck in February of this year. The song caused a kerfuffle around the US release of their latest album, Get Awkward. Reportedly unbeknownst to BYOP the track was left off the version that came out in America. The inflammatory topic? Stabbing a school chum that leaked a secret. It's one of our faves!

¡Forward Russia! is disbanding as well and we wish this foursome all the best. Word on the street is that Tom is transitioning into production (working with a band called 'Minaars'), and Katie is moving to Nottingham to take an art course. They have one gig left- October 17th at the Brainwash Festival in Leeds- should be worth the trip. They're looking to do a digital release of their Gravity and Heat EP in between now and then. Whiskas, you will be missed.
Our friend Joly took this footage of 'Seventeen' at Fontana's in NYC during CMJ in November of 2006.
